From the early 1990's, with the prospect of opening in the French market, London auction house SOTHEBY'S searched for a new headquarters suitable for use as saleroom. Turnbull Associés assited SOTHEBY'S in the study of several sites before opening negotiations with the owner for the renovation and the remodelling of the Galerie Charpentier - a beautiful building, perfectly situated, yet in a pitiful state... For the renovation works we supervised the new internal layout cabling and security systems for the user. At the same time we coordinated with the interior designer, Laurent Bourgois for the treatment of the public zones. |
